Visual Explication

This is my recitation and visual explication of the poem "Love is a place" by e.e. cummings.

Text below:

LOVE IS A PLACE

love is a place
& through this place of
love move
(with brightness of peace)
all places

yes is a world
& in this world of
yes live
(skilfully curled)
all worlds

  2. Nice reading, Maddie! Good, clear voice throughout and I thought your choice of visuals was pretty interesting. Almost quirky in a way.

  3. I love that you can tell that the visuals are personal for you and show your place and your world. I also love the speed and the varying tone of your recitation with the video. Simple, but cool!

  4. I remember a poem you wrote sophomore year about a specific place that you go to camp. That's immediately what I thought of when I read the e.e.cummings poem. When I saw your video I think I was a little disappointed because I didn't see the personal connection to the place I know you love most. It was so aesthetically beautiful and can be translated to any person in this way without making it specific to you. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I still really enjoyed your visual explication! Nice work and thanks for sharing!

  7. Nice visual explication. I never would have thought of making a video, and I think it worked out really well for this poem.
